There has been a lot of controversy lately on global warming, however depending on where you stand on the subject, it is a serious topic that needs to be tackled in some way.

It’s crazy to think that in colder weather conditionss, my associate and I are seeing the depletion of ice & loss of animals due to the weather conditions change.

Climate change results in a lot of factors. Some say as humans my associate and I are the main reason to why our Earth is changing. Others guess it’s just Earth going through a cyclic change. Whatever the reason is, as humans my associate and I can help our environment. Some ways that my associate and I can do this is by recycling paper, glass, plastic & can bottles. What I recently found out by my HVAC provider is that as a business they’re trying to eliminate harm to the environment. According to my serviceman, there is a refrigerant in HVAC units called Refrigerant 22 (R-22), it is one of the most respected refrigerants that are used. This type of refrigerant is said to be responsible for damaging the Earth’s ozone layer. It is used in not just refrigerants but in a variety of weird forms such as: refrigeration, aerosol propellants & cleaning solvents. Since my HVAC provider is pushing to be more environmentally friendly, they are eliminating the use of R-22 & moving to an alternative. A lot of HVAC companies have been getting rid of this refrigerant due to its damaging properties. I am certainly satisfied with the awareness of my HVAC provider & the actions that other companies are taking to get rid of this pollutant.

I remember back in highschool taking American history.

• History was my favorite subject in school & I didn’t mind it.

I constantly got “A’s” in that class & I thoroughly enjoyed the way my teacher taught. I remember one unique topic was a lesson on work laws. A lot of workers in the early 1920s faced long hours, & excruciating working conditions. I could never imagine working in a factory for long hours in certainly tepid or certainly chilly conditions & getting paid certainly minimal. At work the other afternoon my associate and I had a serviceman come to repair the HVAC system. Supposively it broke down. It was in the middle of the summer time & every one in the office was covered in sweat. It reminded me of the work lesson I learned in high school, as I was feeling certainly hot & uncomfortable. The serviceman finally fixed the complication & my associate and I were all back to feeling comfortable again. The next afternoon I showed up to work & saw businesss working all over the office. According to the serviceman that showed up yesterday she told the owner load reducing possibilities so the HVAC system doesn’t have to constantly running. Some suggestions to the owner were reducing solar gain, and contractors were placing window tints on certain windows that receive a lot of sunlight. This was to keep unnecessary heat out. The businesss were also installing energy efficient lighting because the old lighting fixtures were old & also letting off unnecessary heat. I think working in a safe energy efficient & comfortable work environment is important.

My neighbor has been having a hard time buying a house.

• She is too picky with her decision.

I told her at this point she needs to write the houses she wants the most on a card and put it in a hat. She told me it is a extreme decision (which I do agree) even though she has becoming really indecisive with this whole process. After a week of deciding she finally made her pick. She chose a smaller household off of a side street. She got a really nice deal on it but there were some things that she needed to buy and replace. I got a call from her the other day. She told me that she had an appointment with an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C worker. He told her that she genuinely needed a replacement with her Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. She was a little sad hearing this because it would cost her a few thousand dollars. She told me that the first thing that the worker did was do a manual and commercial load calculation. This would allow my neighbor to have the familiar size for her new Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. If this calculation didn’t occur, she could have the wrong Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system size. If a component is oversized and is too big for a home, it can increase the capital cost at the time of installation and extra costs to when the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system runs. I was curious to know all of this because I didn’t realize that an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system had to be sized. Now I know for when I own my home someday.

Building a household from scratch is a long process.

There are so much to choose from and so numerous decisions to make when developing a household into a home! From pouring the foundation to putting up the wood that ultimately designs the house, it is one of the few steps where you can visually see a household coming together.

Once the household is up with drywall, doors, windows and a roof it becomes more fun for me. I like to opening out the paint colors, appliances and new decor. I will let the companys do the electrical and Heating, Ventilation, and A/C work. The electrician came the other day to complete the electrical work. That is all done and now there’s electricity in our home. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C worker came to my household this week to discuss heating and cooling options. He brought up air duct and showed me pictures of other houses with odd types of air duct. I didn’t realize that there were other materials that were used to supply and return moderate and chilly air. Some materials that I saw were building cavities that were made out of wood and wallboard inner surfaces that give really little leakage. Another material was stretchy non-metallic ducts. These ducts are stretchy and are mainly installed in attics or narrow locales. One of the options that my buddy and I were interested in was the air duct made out of sheet metal that is made out of galvanized steel. This type of air duct can occasionally leak where sections can join. The other choice my buddy and I saw was fiberglass duct board that is used to feed smaller ducts.

I had the choice to rent a townhome or rent a home for my last year of university. I chose to rent a townhome because my electricity, heating, cooling and water was all included with my room and board. I didn’t want to have the responsibility of finding an electrical company or Heating and A/C company and pay them each month. I would rather just pay one lump sum at the end of the year, plus I won’t have to worry about paying late fees if I forget to pay my bills. The townhome that I live in now with my roommates is great. My fantastic friend and I have a fantastic size living room and a living room. Our bathroom is pretty nice too. However my buddy and I have been seeing these little balls of lint on our bathroom sink. It got worse as my buddy and I let it continue. My fantastic friend and I decided to call the repair people to solve the issue. He diagnosed our vents and looked at the vent return and saw the lint and dust on it. He took off the return face, and opened it up. Inside was where the air filter was located. He took out the air filter and it was filled with dust and other particles. That was the main reason why my buddy and I kept seeing dust and lint, our air filter needed to be changed. Who knew when the last time it was changed. He apologized and cleaned the rest of our vents by dusting them and wiping them down. If my roommates and I were renting a home my buddy and I would have had to pay for an Heating and A/C professional to repair our problem.

I don’t mind my job.

Many people loathe waking up in the day & going to work.

But I don’t mind waking up & facing the same schedule that I do every week. My schedule consists of: wake up, eat, go to work, drive home, eat, go to bed & do the same thing over & over. However I have the type of job where every afternoon there is something new waiting for me. However these past few weeks have been a little chilly when I get to my office. My office & my coworker’s office that is right next to mine are the coldest one’s in the building. It’s a little odd. This occurred for about a week until I decided to call the repair woman to see if she could determine the problem. Unfortunately she couldn’t so she called an HVAC serviceman. The HVAC serviceman found that the reason for the two chilly offices was due to an imbalance of air flow. The air volume that the HVAC system runs from the office did not equal the air volume that supplies to it. Because the air volume in the office was greater, there was an air pressure balance. This explained the reason for the big chilly drafts in both offices. After the serviceman fixed the problem, my coworker & I didn’t have to bring our jackets anymore. Now I looked more forward to going to work! Even though I do face a weird variety of work every afternoon, I won’t have to experience a chilly one.

My Grandmother called me the other afternoon unsure of how to work her new kindle. My aunt’s bought her an kindle for her birthday last week. They showed her how to use it even though she ultimately forgot. Since it was the weekday & all of my aunt’s were at work, I went over after my classes. She was so blissful to see me. I showed her the steps on how to connect to the internet & where to search for things. I also showed her how to download apps if she wanted them. She asked me if I had to leave soon. I told her I wasn’t in a rush & could stay until supper time. She mentioned that she had her HVAC serviceman coming to the condo to look over her system because it needed replacing. I told her I could stay & explain to her what she was doing, when she arrived, she told my Grandmother that she had to do an energy audit, then good thing I was there because she didn’t know what that meant. I explained to her than an energy audit is an inspection that determines the size & type of HVAC system that she needs. An audit allows the serviceman to determine if there’s any leakage in the HVAC duct, pressure imbalances caused by the HVAC duct, any air leakage, inadequate insulation & if there’s a radiant barrier that can help get rid of cooling requirements in warmer weather. These factors helped in the process of choosing the right HVAC system. I was blissful to have helped my Grandmother that afternoon.

My best buddy & I constantly have a good time when we’re together, but my associate and I have been friends since my associate and I were in the second grade, and now that we’re in our twenties it’s safe to say that my associate and I will be friends for life, as constantly, best friends have their disagreements, however but with those little confrontations, my associate and I haven’t let that interfere with our friendship! She’s been by my side through some rough times in my life & I’ve done the same for her… I’ve been helping her find a condo to rent while she goes back to get her Master’s degree.

Some of the houses we’ve seen have been treacherous & absolutely nice; Of course the absolutely nice houses are too much money & out of her budget.

After a month, she finally made a option of choosing a condo to rent, then unfortunately some of the items in her condo are ancient. One of them being her temperature control. By looking at her temperature control it’s not a programmable one. She was a little frustrated by that because she’ll have to manually turn the dial before she goes to bed, when she wakes up, & when she leaves her house. I mentioned to her to ask her landlord if she could call an HVAC serviceman to install one. My buddy got ahold of her landlord & she agreed, then the serviceman told her that she made the right transport in updating her temperature control because an replace helps maintain the system’s workload, saves money & limits the amount of times you have to adjust the home’s temperature.
